Unfortunately she was bitten by 7 different types of venomous snakes while filming this.
LOL i died at the longer version. Right after she figures it out they pan out and you can see there was a toddler right off screen. So she put on all this armor and never once questioned why nobody is really even protecting the toddler.

I’m working with a pommy bloke in Australia. He’s been over for a couple of months, tops. We’re outside having a smoke and he sees a mole cricket on the ground. Perfectly harmless but very freaky looking little bug.
He asks “WTF is that?” as he bends down to have a closer look.
I reacted the only sensible way in such a situation, which is to jump away in fear, with a paniced “HOLY FUCK!!!”

To be fair, Scotland loves to prank tourists (especially Americans and Aussies) with the Wild Haggis creature. They tell everyone that a haggis is actually a small badger type animal the size of a large potato. There’s taxidermies and we all have the lore rehearsed for the occasion. We deserved a taste of our own medicine.
I thought “drop bear” was just a meme name for a Koala.

Went to Australia as a Marine for Talisman Saber in 2007. Aussie soldiers had put signs all over the base warning of dropbears. Had all of us looking up in the trees. We were there for a month and it took us longer than I would care to admit to realize they were messing with us

I (American) was traveling and stayed with an Aussie individual in Belize. She told me this story that every Aussie carries a bear zapper because Koalas are dangerous and everywhere. I believed her and was terrified until she told me she was joking at the end of the week haha ????
