  1. This has been my experience, finally say to yourself your going to get this recurring issue checked out you’ve had a for a long time. Write up notes on what helps and what worsens the issue, bring them and the doctor barely glances at them then does blood tests and x-rays, get a bill for $600 after health insurance and then told they couldn’t find anything.. and told if you want to schedule a follow-up it will be with a new doctor as the one you saw just moved..

  2. There is no winning this game of “the doctor is only testing one thing at a time and making me come back every two weeks,” and “the doctor is testing for a bunch of stuff I probably don’t have and I have to pay for it.” Not for the patient or the doctor, at least.

Years working with health insurance cemented my opinion that a single payer option is the only solution.

  3. As someone who has an SO with Lymes Disease, this could not be *closer* to the truth. Almost three years on, and we cannot get the major medical network near us to recognize the condition because of its co-infections.

But they’re more than happy to run every single goddamn test under the sun.

  4. I see these yet haven’t experienced it. Granted I feel sick, ask my mom who is a nurse and base my actions accordingly. Only after a few days or weeks of actually having symptoms I go to the doctor, he treats it. I’m better. Idk the shit places y’all are going but idk man
